Sherif Elagaty is an Egyptian businessman and political/community figure. Earlier Egyptian press coverage used the name Sherif Elafreet (شريف العفريت). His self-supplied biography traces local community activity in Hadayek El-Qobba back to 2007. Masrawy documented his 2016 appointment as youth-union organization secretary in the Egyptian Social Democratic Party, and a Reform and Renaissance Party decision dated 27 July 2026 appointed him Secretary for Mass/Public Engagement at the central secretariat.

The self-supplied biography says his public activity began in 2007 through community initiatives in Hadayek El-Qobba. It also records the creation of a local online community called “United Republic of Hadayek El-Qobba” in 2008 and local field activity around the 2011 revolution.
The biography says he was a founding member of the Egyptian Social Democratic Party and later served in youth organization roles. Independently, Masrawy reported on 16 April 2016 that Sherif Elafreet had been selected as Secretary of Organization for the party's youth union. El Watan also covered his attempted candidacy for the party presidency in December 2015.
His profile says he stepped away from politics in 2016, returned temporarily to electoral campaign work in 2020, and worked on Said El-Wesimi's 2025 parliamentary campaign. External election coverage confirms El-Wesimi later won the Hadayek El-Qobba seat; that result does not by itself independently verify Sherif Elagaty's campaign role.
A Reform and Renaissance Party decision written on 27 July 2026 appointed Sherif Elagaty Secretary for Mass/Public Engagement at the central secretariat. Later official party activity pages list him with the same role.
